"Boulevard" contributor Alex Padilla told us today what Spotify's new feature is all about and why he needs to know what we're wearing. This new feature, called "Get Ready With Music", is capable of generating automatic playlists that adapt to the clothes the user is wearing. Padilla reassures and clarifies: "Let no one worry because it is not an invasion of privacy. The platform is not spying on you, it simply allows you to create a playlist that complements your outfit so that you can transmit your style from the very moment when you leave home". "The playlist is generated from information about the user's mood and the color of the clothes they're wearing. Because the platform seems to recognize that if you're wearing those colors today, your mood is one way or another," he adds.
